It's never smart to settle for "a good deal" on training, especially in the oft-unpredictable marine environment.  You have to make certain the school you're considering can deliver the goods.

ZENITH MARITIME AND THE UNITED STATES COAST GUARD
The United States Coast Guard's NMC (National Maritime Center) in West Virginia oversees every facet in the process of providing credentials to mariners.  USCG District 13's REC (Regional Exam Center) in Seattle provides local course oversight and mariner support.  Click on the USCG logo for access to the USCG / NMC website.  Flagship's physical facility is approved by the U.S. Coast Guard, Captain Anderson is approved by the U.S. Coast Guard as an instructor, and syllabuses, study guides, resources and exams are USCG / Zenith Maritime approved.
 
Flagship presents approved Zenith Maritime USCG license training courses delivered by CAPT Skip Anderson - an authorized and approved independent contracted instructor for Zenith Maritime.

As an independent forum that produces thoughtful periodicals, scholarly books, and stimulating seminars, the Naval Institute makes a material contribution to the professionalism of Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen and the Sea Services they serve
, and in turn plays a unique and vital role in our national security.  Captain Anderson has been associated with the US NAVAL INSTITUTE since 1974.

NORTHWEST MARINE TRADE ASSOCIATION
NMTA works tirelessly to increase participation in recreational boating, provide leadership in regulatory and legislative issues important to members and deliver services that help members succeed.  More than 600 NMTA member firms include boat dealers, marinas, brokers, boatyards, accessory dealers, manufacturers and boating services providers.

WORKFORCE BOARD
Flagship Maritime Training Center is a private career school pending licensure by the Washington State Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board.  Helping to bridge the gap between high demand jobs and the training workers need to succeed, the Workforce Board advocates for a better educated, better prepared Washington workforce, and licenses and regulates more than 250 private career schools doing business in the state of Washington. The agency also investigates student complaints and administers a fund that reimburses students affected by school closure.
